Situation
Following its acquisition by private equity firm Astorg and the hiring of a new CEO, Lebronze alloys (LBA) entered a critical growth phase requiring a more scalable commercial engine. Historically a strong and highly specialized player, the company faced increasing competitive pressure, portfolio complexity, and international growth ambitions, requiring a more structured commercial model, stronger sales leadership, and upgraded talent and capabilities.
Approach
NexTalent implemented a structured and hands-on approach combining recruitment acceleration, talent assessment, and CEO advisory. We supported several critical international commercial hires and advised on targeted actions, supporting key onboarding and role realignments. In parallel, we conducted a comprehensive People Review across ~70 Key Account, Sales and Customer Service employees using a 9-box framework to assess performance and potential, identify gaps, and inform targeted development actions. We also advised the CEO on leadership decisions, commercial model evolution, and organizational design, clarifying roles, governance, and crossfunctional interfaces, while supporting the rollout of a new sales incentive system.
Impact
The project delivered tangible impact across talent and organization. Key hires were secured and a strong pipeline was built for several international roles. The People Review led to multiple concrete actions, including hires, exits, role adjustments, and targeted development initiatives. LBA clarified priorities around ways of working, sales excellence, and leadership pipeline development, while strengthening collaboration between Sales, Product, and Technical teams. Overall, the engagement accelerated onboarding, improved sales effectiveness, and laid the foundations for a scalable global commercial organization.
“As a first-time CEO in a private equity-backed environment, having Tony and Antoine as true sparring partners was invaluable. They combined strategic perspective with hands-on execution at every step. They acted as HR advisors and sounding board on leadership decisions, commercial model evolution, and organizational design, while also stepping in to deliver on critical hiring and talent reviews.”
– Marie de Saint Salvy CEO, Lebronze alloys
